Description
The ABLE® Safety Jacket is intended for professional use and protects the wearer against minor mechanical injuries such as abrasion and scratching.
The collar and wrist cuffs provide light protection, while the padding on the forearms and chest gives more substantial protection than fabric alone. Reinforced seams and hard-wearing fabric are core features. The jacket’s durability has been tested in martial arts training, among other settings. The jacket also protects against bodily fluids and dirt, shielding the wearer’s own clothing.
The Safety Jacket has been designed with the wearer’s safety and the safety of the person in their care in mind. For example, there is no risk of dental injury if someone bites into the padding. The Safety Jacket is classified as Category I personal protective equipment and is CE-marked.

How to use it
The Safety Jacket is put on like an ordinary jacket. The sleeves sit correctly when the thumb is placed through the thumbhole in the cuff. The Safety Jacket must not be used in any situation where it could become caught in moving or rotating machinery.
Any padding section can be removed if not needed. Padding can also be resized by removing it and trimming it to the desired length, for example with scissors. This allows each user to tailor the protection to their own needs.
Care instructions
The Safety Jacket is easy to keep clean thanks to its material. Wash temperature: 40 °C. Avoid strongly alkaline products (such as stain removers or specialist detergents), bleach, and solvent-based detergents or microemulsions. Fabric softener is not recommended. Do not tumble dry. Remove the padding before washing and ironing. Iron on a medium setting (two dots). Ironing after washing reactivates the Aquatx finish.
Warranty
The Safety Jacket carries a one-year (12-month) warranty against material and/or manufacturing defects from the date of delivery. If you find a defect or the jacket fails during normal use, we will supply a replacement.

Technical data
Classification: Category I PPE, CE-marked.
Material: 100% cotton (including sewing thread and drawcords) to allow garment-dyeing. Thanks to this dyeing process, the jackets do not shrink noticeably when home-washed.
Surface treatment: Aquatx-treated, making the fabric dirt- and water-repellent and wind-resistant. The treatment does not change the natural properties of the fabric — its breathability and softness are preserved.
Environmental standard: All materials meet OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. Dyeing and finishing are carried out using non-toxic dyes that comply with the standard. OEKO-TEX® tests pH value, formaldehyde content, pesticides, soluble heavy metals, chlorinated compounds, preservatives such as pentachlorophenol and tetrachlorophenol, and allergenic and carcinogenic dyes.
Padding: Closed-cell foam beneath the cotton fabric, including across the chest and around the forearms. The foam absorbs trauma from blows. The padding can be customised — removed altogether or trimmed to fit the wearer’s measurements and needs. Padding can be disposed of as energy waste.
Cuffs: A thumbhole in each cuff keeps the sleeve in place. The cuff protects the back of the hand from abrasion and scratching.
Construction: The jacket is designed for full upper-body protection. The design takes account of the areas most often exposed to blows, scratches, biting, and grabbing: the wrists, forearms, elbows, chest, and neck.
Care: Wash at 40 °C. Remove padding before washing. Iron on a medium setting to reactivate the Aquatx finish. Do not tumble dry. Do not use fabric softener.
